We love a good cookie around here… I’m always keeping our cookie jar stocked! I use to make oatmeal cookies and they would stick to the pan, be flat and hard as a rock! Not this recipe… they turn out soft and the oatmeal keeps them chewy!
Try them out the next time your thinking oatmeal!! 😀
What you need:
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup shortening (you can do all butter if you choose too)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups oats (quick or regular)
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Optional if you want to add nuts, raisins or craisins just sub out for chocolate chips.
Oven temp 325 degrees … Bake time 12-13 minutes
