Sugar Cookie Frosting
This is a good frosting for topping your sugar cookies… Especially if you forgot to take the butter out of the fridge earlier to soften… Good ole’ Crisco is here to save the day!!!
Here’s what you’ll need:
4 cups “sifted” Powdered Sugar
1/2 cup shortening
5-7 TBLS. Milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Food coloring of choice!
Sift HALF the powdered sugar into the bowl… add the shortening and 3 TBLS Milk…. Turn on low speed at first
Add your vanilla and 2 more TBLS milkSift the remaining powdered sugar inYou can add more milk 1 TBLS at a time at this point to get the consistency you want… Or if your happy with it then add your desired food coloring and mix!Place your frosting in a smaller bowl to work with… and frost your cookies!I made blue stars for my son’s 7th birthday party!
