I love cooking up whole chickens because you end up with a lot of meat and I can usually get 2-3 meals out of it!
Cooking them in the Crock Pot is super easy… You just give it a bed, dress it up and turn it on…. 5-8 hours later (depending on what your cooking it on) you have dinner for the night and leftovers to make a couple more meals with! This is great too if your gonna be gone all day … give your self an extra 15 minutes to put it together before you leave and by the time you get home the house smells like dinner!
Here is what you will need:
- 1 whole chicken
- 3 carrots peeled
- 1/2 of an onion
- 1 granny smith apple
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1-2 tsp minced garlic

Cover and turn on…
High for 4-5 hours Low for 8 hours

I served it with some Quick and Easy Pasta Noodles… then the next day for lunch with some Garlic Chicken Ranch Pizza
