“Hey Bryce what kind of cake do you want me to make you for your birthday?” “Chocolate Mom, DUH!” He says! Oh My!! Do I dear ask what kind of frosting he wants??? I didn’t have to… about 10 seconds later he followed it up with “and chocolate frosting to!”
Well at least I didn’t have to try and get fancy… Can’t get much easier than this!
Mix the butter and sugar togetherAdd the eggs… one at a time… mixing in betweenAdd vanilla and mixIn a separate bowl sift the cocoaAdd the remaining dry ingredients to the cocoa powder bowlAdd 1/2 the dry and 1/2 the milk to your mixing bowl and mixShould be looking like thisAdd the rest of the dry and remaining milk! Mix well!Heres your chocolate mix for your chocolate cake!Grease 2 9 inch pansAdd even amount to each one … tap any bubble out! Bake 350 degrees 30-35 minutes or until tooth pick come out clean in centerPull out and let cool 15-20 minutes… then pull out of pans and let cool completely before frosting!I like to shave down any hard sides and cut off the mound (of only one of them)Add some chocolate frosting and spread outShave down any hard sides on the second one and place on top of the first one! Top with frosting and spread out!
