• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup sour cream
• 4 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar

Method

 

1. On low melt your chocolate chips and butter together…
2. Once melted, take off heat and let cool 5-10 mintues
3. Sift your powdered sugar while your waiting… No need for lumpy frosting!
4. Add the sour cream to the melted chocolate chips and butter
5. Mix together
6. Add the powdered sugar and mix!
7. Now you have your chocolate frosting… And you made it yourself!

This frosting is nice… Its not too chocolaty and the sour cream helps it stay light and fluffy! 

Frost a cake, or cupcakes… and if there is a little left over frost some graham crackers and serve the kiddos (and yourself) a snack!

I made this frosting for my Son’s birthday… he wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting… I didn’t want to over do the chocolate (obviously he had no problem with that) this frosting was perfect for it!
