These were a big hit at my Son’s 7th birthday party… They really would be great for any get together or party… I started baking them about an hour before everyone showed up… I filled up 3 cookie sheets of them just off of one pretzel dough recipe! Made a lot of them at a low cost… I couldn’t of been happier!
Here is what you’ll need:
2 tbls brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups warm water 110-120 degrees
2 1/2 tsp. yeast
4 cups flour
2 small packs of Lil’l Smokies or one big one… I bought one cheddar and one regular
Oven Temperature 450 degrees
This is the same pretzel dough that I used for Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Bites

In your mixing bowl add brown sugar, salt, water and yeast. Let set for 5-10 mins or until yeast is foamy Add your flour and change to your dough hook… mix till it has formed a ball and pulled away from the bowl Take it out and hand knead it for a minute Put it in a greased bowl… flip it so both sides are greased… cover and let rise for about an hour or till its doubled in size Here’s where its different from the Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Bites… You don’t need the baking soda and water… or the cinnamon and sugar 😉
Rinse your Lil Smokies and pat dry with a paper towel Once it has doubled in size, punch it down and plop it on the counter… cut in down to about 6 pieces Take one of your chunks and roll it out like a snake Cut the snake into small pieces…
Flatten out the small pieces and wrap your Lil SmokieLine them up on a grease cookie sheet and let set for about 20 minutes
Bake 450 for 10-12 minutes… or until golden brownLet cool for 3-5 minutes Brush with a little butter…
Place on desire serving dish!I put the cheddar ones in a separate dish… There was only a few left by the time the party was over! Yummy goodies down at the “Kids” table! Happy Birthday Bryce Kevin!
